Keith's current campaign is in effect; releasing 3 strong singles to set up the summer season to lead up to his forthcoming album,
Stronger Everyday.
"Soul Surrender" (Waking Monster) just out now on promo. Watch the
video montage at youtube.
"Thoughts of Life"(Waking Monster) with DJ Sai from South Africa, released in April '08, is still growing in popularity. As well, there is the Jamie Lewis collaboration
"Body Music" (Purple Music) that is fast becoming a summer club staple. Prior to that, his most recent release was
"Borders Don't Matter" parts 1 and 2
(Waking Monster) with a unifying message that is enjoyed strong support aided by mixes from Ralf Gum, Phil Hooton, Central Ave., DJ Nermin, and Thompson. Currently on sale and being supported by key international djs, it's available at premiere download shops. Take a listen in releases section to your left.
Thompson's previous release was a collaboration with legendary house producer, Paul Simpson. Titled
"Black Skin Blue Eyed Boys", it's produced by Simpson and Thompson with mixes provided by DJ Romain, undoubted legend Tom Moulton and DJ Smash. The pumping mix by DJ Romain is causing a stir on myspace.com/keithompson. Click the link in the preview section to the left hear the mixes and to get your copies.
The remake of his classic,
"Break 4 Love" 2006, is still making a strong impact internationally. No. 1 on
Nocturnal Magazine's Chart, no. 1 on Lewis Dene's DJ Mag Chart and heavily supported by trend setting djs internationally, it spread lots of love last summer from Ibiza, to Portugal, France to Moscow, US to the UK and has gone on to #17 in France, #1 in Bulgaria and Lebanon, and top 20 in European and middle East Dance charts. The
David Vendetta mix set things off in Miami during the Winter Music Conference '06 when
Roger Sanchez rocked the crowd with it at his Release Yourself party.
DJ Romain, Moussa Clarke, and Booker T have joined the ride with their own mixes. It has been been licensed from
Monster Bang Music (UK) for the world by
DJ Center (France). With wider distribution along with a video and new mixes, whew, the love didn't stop in 2007! It's still available at all the premiere download spots.
"Africa In Your Veins" is another memorable single, although release in 2005, remixes has kept it in demand into 2006. It is now consider a Southern African classic. Taken from his last album,
Long Time Coming (Waking Monster Media), which has gotten strong support by taste maker DJs internationally. It has reached
#25 on DJ Mag's Hype Chart and is featured on
Worlds Collide Vol.1, out now.
"I Live For Now" (
OvenReady) produced by Loeg Korovin & Moussa Clarke with a killer David Vendatta remix, rocked the harder rooms in late 2005. Look for an unpdated release of that under-rated track coming soon on
Monster Bang with a banging mix by Sandy Vee among many others.
2004 saw the release of
"Dance In Our Time" produced by
Victor Simonelli. Under supported by distributors, it was loved by
Roger Sanchez and several jocks through Europe who championed it in Ibiza and turning it into an underground party anthem at Turnmills in the UK.
"Living On The Frontline" produced by Victor Simonelli
and the remixes of his classic
"Rhythm Of Life" by
UBP both had clubs jumping from Europe, Africa and back to NYC in 2002 to 2003. They are also included on the album. The singles released from the album have been "In What," "I Found Lovin," "Face Down," and now "Africa In Your Veins" which seem to be heading toward international success.

Keith was the lead vocalist on the now classic
"Break 4 Love" by Raze, which is featured in the Grand Theft Auto (San Andreas) video game. The international hit lead him to be signed by Capitol records in 1989 where he released the innovative
"Can't Take It",coining the phrase "Ragga House" which lead the way for further experiments in house. After leaving EMI records, in 1992 he established his own label, Level 10 which released the underground classic, "The Rhythm Of Life". Originally produced by
Tony Humphries with production assistance and contributions by luminaries such as
Todd Terry, Masters At Work, India, and
Connie Harvey. The song has been released 10 years later by Underground Solution with remixes by UBP and
Johnick, and is a hit once again. "Break 4 Love" has also been getting remix treatment almost every two years. Most recently, there is the Funkrockers remix. Check www.break4love.com for more information.
Thompson has performed in all the major clubs in NYC from the Palladium, the Sound Factory, Limelight, Sound Factory Bar, to the Underground, Studio 54 and the Apollo Theater. He has toured Japan twice, regularly performs in England, Germany, Italy and makes regular appearances in Ibiza. He has worked with producers such as Marshall Jefferson, Joe T. Vannelli, Victor Simonelli, Tony Humphries, Justin Strauss, Lenny Fontana, Eric Kupper, Matthais Heilbronn, DJ Romain.
2002 saw the release of three Keith Thompson releases, "Love Supreme" (Waking Monster Media), "Living On The Frontline" (West Side Records), and "The Rhythm Of Life" (Underground Solution), that rose higher on DJ play-lists with each release. 2003 saw the release of even more memorable material and performances by Thompson in the form of the single
"It's On" on Innervibe Music. A favorite of
Jamie Lewis, it's still supported by jocks in the UK and the US. With mixes by
Scott Wozniak, Mateo & Matos, and the Groove Junkies, it had to be released in two parts.
Thompson has always given show stopping performances as well as shared his two decades worth of industry knowledge. Look for him on tour this coming season: Brazil, South Africa, Europe.
