"Thoughts Of Life"
A sampler with hints of three strong releases to come. The heat comes from the Keith Thompson project's "Only You", remixed by DJ Circle taken from the upcoming sensual, two part single. Central Ave's remix of Thompson's duet "Truly" with Bulgarian super star, Maria ILieva is a welcome summer breeze. The E.P is finally rounded out by our
commitment to new music from Africa, "Pretoria" by Teesquared (aka) DJ Ninja and Thabiso; young guns out of South Africa.
Just a few hints of sound pressure to come this summer. 1. "Only You" (DJ Circle Classic mix) The Keith Thompson Project 2. "Truly" (Central Ave remix) Keith Thompson & Maria Ilieva 3. "Pretoria Funk" Teesquared

"Waking Monster give us a taste of things to come in the near future with this three track sampler. "Only you" by the Keith Thompson Project is included in the powerful yet soulful 'Classic Vocal Remix' by DJ Circle that is loaded with jazzy horns and keys, while the mesmerizing Central Avenue remix of "Truly" by Keith Thompson & Maria ILieva is a heavily stompin' affair. Lastly "Pretoria Funk" by Teesquared (aka DJ Ninja) and Thabiso is a slightly dark tech-funk monster perfect for peak time action." -- Mike Fossati (Spirit of House) --------
I am really diggin "Pretoria" by Teesquared and will put it in my rotation at "Deep in Mind" sessions. --DJ Feerock Axiomonline.tv

DJ/ producer Patrick Bo returns with two shots of musical fire in the E.P. El Chico. It features El Chico, an earthy, electronic groove that builds into a carnival celebration. Then there is Palorama. A deep yet melodic house journey that sooths the dancing spirit.
It began as an underground club favorite in chic, Club White in Beirut, Lebanon. Then went on to be an anthem throughout the country. It rose to no.1 for 2 weeks in January '09 on NRJ Radio (99.1 FM) and has steadily been on the Top 10 for two months by connecting with the hearts and aspirations of young people. Keith Thompson recently performed the song along with his other hit, “Break 4 Love” on Star Academy TV show which is viewed across the middle east and via satellite around the world by over 12 million people.
Keith collaborated on the song with local DJ Bob Howayek who is resident at the exclusive White and Eight clubs in Beirut. On one of his subsequent visits to Beirut, Keith wrote and recorded the vocals. Sore throat and all, the passion can be heard in the recording done the afternoon after a gig.
Thompson's ode to late night partying and the unity from the ying yang of sensual yet spiritual expressions through house.

This release is a musical attack on all rooms of club land; whether it be in the lounge or main room. With mixes by Island Groove, Gregory Del Piero, Dolls Combers, Vincent Kwok, and Physics, much of the bases are covered. The reviews and support for all these releases have so far been strong:
Sample Reviews:
From the opening chords to beautifully played acoustic guitar ‘Soul Surrender’ aims to both pluck at your heartstrings and tempt you onto the dancefloor. The vocals are notable too with a credible song that builds in intensity to its rousing chorus line, and all the while is backed up by hi-impact drums and bass. There are several great versions to choose from, including Gregory Del Piero and Dolls Combers, but if you like the sound of the above then the ‘Island Groove Summer Time Mix’
is recommended. -- M7/M8 (Greg Fenton) July 2008 M8 mag
"...a wonderful production...that will bring sunshine to your heart with its summery vibe
...created by a smooth groove, lovely guitar, melodic keys and uplifting vocals by Keith Thompson."
- Michael Fossati (Spirit of house.com) April 2008
"awesome track, really love the "Summer time mix", the Dolls Combers Dub
and the Vincent Kwok mixes. I will play it for sure, support it in my next return chart too..."

"Thoughts Of Life"
DJ Sai vs. Keith Thompson
Percolating, bumping, Jersey flavored South African dark, groove with soul and hope.
The first shot from the South African Young Guns Series with remix by Keith Thompson remix.
Keith Thompson presents the debut of the South African Young Guns Series. First up is up and coming producer DJ Sai with "Thoughts Of Life".
A project long time in the finalization. But good things come to those who wait
and here we move you with Sai's original production.
While mixing the project, Thompson was inspired to write lyrics to the music, bringing to it social commentary, which finally blossomed into his additional remix. >>
South Africa has long been one of the centers of house music and when DJ Sai tested the remix out at a recent jam, the party was truly elevated.
Keith Thompson has personally and via Waking Monster, been a strong supporter of music and artists from South Africa for years. Releasing early tracks by Black Coffee, Bazwaana, Mjokes, Afro Blue, and recently "When I Fall" by Lez. Exposed to DJ Sai's music, thanks to myspace,
Keith says, "Look for more to come from the artist."
Wookie & Booker T bring the bomb remixes of Lez's South African Hit! After several months of teasing the underground ears from South Africa and NY to Chicago and London, "When I Fall" by Lez is finally ready for 2008. South Africa's rising talent, Lez along with the skills of producer Demor, brings us smooth R&B laced vocals, superbly complimented by two of the UK's hottest remixers Wookie and Booker T. And what a job they've done to keep the summer vibe alive regardless of the season. The original mix is unfortunately only available so far in South Africa.
Undoubtedly a classic, these remixes solidified the songs place in house music history.
The Rhythm Of Life (Remixes):
The original versions, especially the Tony Humphries mix, had established a new sound for house when originally released in 1992 on Level 10 (US) / Synthetic (UK) and became an underground classic. Yet when it was licensed to Underground Solution these remixes took this production to even greater heights of respect and notoriety in 2002. With mixes by UBP, Jazz-N-Groove, and Jonnick, The Rhythm Of Life reached a new generation of house heads. These mixes feature the background and ad lib vocals of India, Connie Harvey, and Debbe Cole rounding out the background vocals.
Buy the whole package and get a RARE bonus track!
The original mixes by Tuta Aquino and Tony Humphries with lead vocals by Keith Thompson (ragga chanting and all) are being re-mastered and will be available soon. It boasted such contributing luminaries as Todd Terry, MAW (just beginning their collaboration), Larry Rausen, and BB Keys. Stay tuned.
A supreme melding of Tech and deep soul from rising stars DJ Nermin and Patrick Bo. This Sweat E.P. says acid house/ jacking house is back and thank heavens. DJ Nermin brings us "Let Yourself" which kicks off any dancefloor into peaktime let-yourself-go-frenzy. While Patrick Bo makes his debut with Sweat an even more techy/afro journey into the future. Wrapping up this package is a rediscovered jewel "Head Up High" which sees DJ Nermin teaming up again with vocalist extraordinaire, Ayaah. When she debut the early mix of this track, Barbara Tucker and Kenny Bobien, Kimara Lovelace, and Ron Carrol became quick fans of her's. Get your party started with this one!
An amazing collection of unique and sumptuous grooves with sparkling vocals and character. "I Forgive" by Nermin feat. Ayaah stands up to the quality they have become known for not to mention it's killer, infectious groove. It doesn't have to always be 4 on the floor to house you! Greenwood follows with "Latin Twilight" a Bossa-flavored whistle along that you won't be able to get out of your mind or heart. Classic follow up to Vol.1.
Taken from the Worlds Collide Album, this EP has no fillers but all cuts are prime to get bodies and heads moving.
Bazwaana is an Afro Jazz group from South Africa who are the core band that back up and do session work for the hottest groups, artists, and producers in South Africa. If you were at the Louie Vega's fantastic Roots party duriong the 2005 WMC, you experience the power and talent of the group. They provided the live music for both BOP and Hugh Masekela. "Free My Soul" with the voice of Prudence Phokobye, shows off their mastery of blending Soul, Jazz, breakbeat and latin vibes to create a tastey house jam with a liberating message. Check Keith Thompson's reconstruction "Ora Cabessa" which takes it into an upfront wilder ride.
While Thompson's soon to be classic, "Africa In Your Veins" which was featured on the album, gets remixes courtesy of Man of the moment, Christian Hornbostel, doing his funky thing. A special treat is the Staffan Thorsell remix which leans in a more jazzy direction. This is an outstanding EP and not just based on reveiws and dj support so far.
The remix by Staffan Thorsell (formerly with MOD) replaces the Mahoota Extended mix here since the Mahoota mix can already be found here as part of the "Africa In Your Veins" single. The Mahoota mix is available for the first time on vinyl..
Finally, the long awaited remixes are here of this future classic! Controversial to some, uplifting, unifying and energizing to many. With 4 mixes, it's difficult not to find one or more that is a favorite. The full length version of Mahoota's Jazzy mix is followed by David Skizo's Tribal remix which kicks it up a notch. Skizo, under his Afro Blue moniker, represents with a true Afro Beat homage with highlife guitar and all on the third cut. To complete the package, Thompson goes for a slower, funky tempo to let you enjoy the phased vibe of his Dub just right for a night at a hot South African club...or anywhere else, mind you. Enjoy!
