 May 2008: Ready for the Summer!
 This month saw the promo release of "Soul Surrender" by Island Groove & Keith Thompson. Part of the three prong musical attack by Keith to assure he has music in all the sub-genres of house; whether it be in the lounge or main room. With mixes by Island Groove, Gregory Del Piero, Dolls Combers, Vincent Kwok, and Physics, much of the bases are covered. Thompson also has a hard, main room release, "I Live For Now" out now as the second leg of his release on our sister label, Thompsonic. The third leg is "Gravity" for French label, DJ Center which he collaborated on with French DJ/producer Michael Kaiser & Killbeatz. The reviews and support for all these releases have so far been strong.

From the opening chords to beautifully played acoustic guitar ‘Soul Surrender’ aims to both pluck at your heartstrings and tempt you onto the dancefloor. The vocals are notable too with a credible song that builds in intensity to its rousing chorus line, and all the while is backed up by hi-impact drums and bass. There are several great versions to choose from, including Gregory Del Piero and Dolls Combers, but if you like the sound of the above then the ‘Island Groove Summer Time Mix’

March 2008: - WMC Wrap Up !
The Winter Music Conference in South Beach seemed a lot more productive this year than recent ones. Although it was less attended by some in the industry as well as fans, for some it was more focused and intimate. While for others it was more of the same spread out confusion. DJ Sai's "Thoughts Of Life" was featured on the Media Services compilation which was promoted at all their events in South Beach. From the Baldeelox pool party at the South Seas Hotel and the NY 2 Ibiza/Say House Miami party at Dek23 to the Digital A&R Summit at the President hotel and closing party on the yacht with Sundae Shakedown, it got into the hands of notable DJs/producers and fans. Watch Keith rock the mic during the SSR radio webcast. Oscar P and Davidson Ospina's events attracted the likes of King Brit, Todd Terry, Jay J, Rich Medina, Roland Clarke, Black Coffee (in from South Africa), Keith Thompson, and much more.
Speaking of Thompson, the label head man performed at the Purple Music party at the Shore Club, debuting "Body Music" produced by Jamie Lewis, also at the Franke Estevez Fusion party at Ouzo's, and appeared as guest at Ocean's 10 supporting David Vendetta alongside Rachael Star and violinist Micah. It didn't end there. Check out the youtube video (luckily shot by Patrick Bo) of Keith doing an impromtu performance to support Vendetta's promotion at a South Beach clothing boutique. It stopped traffic outside the store as Keith rocked headphones as a mic. You gotta go old school on them since they weren't prepared. You should also read Keith's blog on his WMC experience.

February 2008: - Winter heat !
 Out Now: "Thoughts Of Life" by South Africa's DJ Sai with vocals and re-mix by Keith Thompson has finally touched down.
The reaction so far, has been great. The first shot from the South African Young Guns Series, Thompson was inspired to write a song to the music bringing to it social commentary which finally blossomed into his additional remix. South Africa has long been one of the centers of house music so when DJ Sai tested the remix out at a recent jam, the party was elevated. Which proved it's instant connection.
Keith Thompson has personally and via Waking Monster, been a strong supporter of music and artists from South Africa for years. Releasing early tracks by Black Coffee, Bazwaana, Mjokes, Afro Blue, and recently "When I Fall" by Lez. Exposed to DJ Sai's music, thanks to myspace, Keith says, "Look for more to come from the artist." The release will be available at your favorite download shops any day now. But until then feel the vibe below.

Dec. '07: - Year Ending Bang!
Unforgettable shows in Beirut, Bulgaria and future classic releases are all part of the December roundup. Our man Keith Thompson was one of David Vendetta's featured artist at the 3,000 filled Forum in Beirut Nov. 30th along with Rachael Starr and Micah. "It started out as a concert," says Thompson, "but ended up a wild party for all." Read more in Keith's myspace blog. A day after returning from that gig it was off to Sofia, Bulgaria for the grand opening night of Bulgarian soul star, Maria Illieva's Stereo Club. Live band and celebrity crowd made a fun but chilled bookend to the previous event. Keith's New Year's Ever Dubai gig at C Bar was rescheduled to club Chrystal in Beirut.
His third time in Beirut looks to be a year ending bang!

DJ Nermin just completed "Deep In The Hacienda", a spoken word potential underground hit soon to be released by the Hacienda club in Croatia | Patrick Bo wrapped production on "El Chico" coming soon on Waking Monster| Keith is also busy in the studio with upcoming projects for the spring and summer. Hopefully, he will complete his album for this year. We'll keep you updated. Thompson has recently completed work with Michael Kaiser, King DK, Jack Smeraglia, Sebastien Drum & Rolf Dymon, Victor Simonelli, as well as with Louis Botella, to be released in 2008.
